History is WatchingHow Do We Respond to Trump?
“The time is always right to do what is right” –Martin Luther King Jr. “The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history” –George Orwell “Be the change that you wish to see in the world” –Mahatma Gandhi |
The inauguration of Donald Trump sparked the biggest protests in our nation's history, and since he took office his actions have continuously outraged a wide spectrum of Americans who worry that he is irrevocably changing our nation and its democratic traditions. He has damaged our country's reputation around the world, made a mockery of civility, and taken the side of dictators against the word of our nation’s security professionals. This book is a roadmap for citizens of all political views to learn how to get involved to protect the rights they value most so our children and grandchildren can enjoy the freedoms we took for granted. We as a society must show our youth that this is not normal, that Trump does not represent our nation’s values, so they don’t grow up to be a generation of cynics.
